Sometimes, when I communicate with family or friends in the US, they ask, “How hot is it there?’ And I have to say, “I don’t know—not very hot, but warm and humid. Very hot when the sun comes out.” So I decided to get a thermometer to measure air temperature. I’m about to give up. There don’t seem to be any in Quibdó. One of the good pharmacies said they could order one—at 84,000 pesos—more than 40 USD.
So I guess I just won’t know the temperature…
A veces, cuando me comunico con familiares o amig@s en EEUU, me preguntan, “Que tal el calor allí? ¿Cuántos grados?” Y tengo que decir, “No lo sé—no muy caliente, pero caliente y húmedo.” Pues, decidí conseguir un temómetro para medir la temperatura del aire. Estoy por rendirme.Parece que no hay en Quibdó. Una de las farmcias beunas me dicen que peuden encargar uno—a 84,000 pesos—más que $40 USD.
Pues, parece que no voy a saber la temperatura…
